What is FTS?

FTS (Foam Tube Suspension) is Ocún’s unique crash pad construction that combines suspension and impact absorption. It uses a layered foam system with integrated tubes to distribute force more effectively than traditional flat foam stacks, helping reduce injury risk and keeping the pad stable over time. What does HIC mean?

HIC (Head Injury Criterion) is the lab-tested safety measure used to rate crash pad impact protection. A pad’s HIC 400 rating indicates the maximum height from which you can fall without exceeding a critical impact threshold, i.e. the higher the height at HIC 400, the better the pad absorbs force.
